Prep the berries. Rinse and pat dry. Slice strawberries if using.
If using frozen berries, thaw briefly and drain excess juice so your layers don’t get watery.
Sweeten the yogurt (optional). Stir honey or maple syrup into the yogurt. Add vanilla or a pinch of cinnamon if you like. Taste and adjust.
Start layering. Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of yogurt into the bottom of each cup.
Add berries. Scatter a spoonful of mixed berries over the yogurt.
Try to mix colors for a nice look and balanced flavor.
Add crunch. Sprinkle on granola or nuts for texture. Keep this layer modest if you plan to make ahead to avoid sogginess.
Repeat. Add another layer of yogurt, then berries, then crunch until cups are nearly full. Aim for 2–3 sets of layers.
Finish with flair. Top with a few pretty berries, a drizzle of honey, or a sprinkle of chia seeds.
Add mint if you have it.
Serve or chill. Enjoy right away for maximum crunch, or cover and chill for up to a few hours if you prefer it cold and slightly melded.
